Though I don't do it much. I've been in 3 so far w/ my '90 N/A. Won all of them...and unbeknownst to me, I had 2 clogged fuel injectors... 1. 2000 or 2001 Chevy S-10 with a 4.3 Vortec - he had just raced a friend of mine in his 2001 Toyota Tacoma, and he won that race...I had no intentions to race...but he asked me if I wanted any. I thought about it...and decided "what the hell...easy win..." So we pull up to the line...he's torque-braking...I'm revving on mine looking for a place to drop the clutch. We take off and immediately I pull off ahead of him, despite the fact that I'm spinning my balls off (lol). Somehow I miss second gear...this was before I replaced the shifter bushings so it had a lot of play. Anyway, I do the same with third gear (I was annoyed by this time.) Yet and still, I come back and beat him. He wasn't satisfied...so we raced back. It had to have been a good 5-6 carlengths at least. 2. Newer Mazda Protege5 w/ intake and exhaust - we were sitting at the Sonic drive-in just talking and the Protege drives by and looks at my car. Some friends of mine ask him if he wants to race...he agrees. We race and I notice that he doesn't really leave the line. He left his handbrake up. We race back and I beat him by about the same...4 or 5 carlengths. 3. 1996 Nissan 200SX SE-R, intake, exhaust, advanced timing - This is my friend's car. He just wanted to see who would win. He didn't figure he had much of a chance. We raced twice since he accidentally had his car in 2nd (it's an automagic) and instead of going to 2 then D, he went to D and Neutral. We raced back, and I had him by a/b 2-3 carlengths.NOW I've got this kid at school saying his girlfriend's Mustang GT (4.6, automatic) can beat my car...I don't really think so. It's like...an older GT. '94 I think. It'll do good to chirp the tires on dry pavement, so it doesn't have much power. I don't really feel like racing b/c I'd much rather have an actual track. But it'd feel good, knowing I destroyed a pony car...
